『涙と泪』

　どなたかに指摘される前に言い訳です。
前回引用した芭蕉の句の後半「・・・魚の目は涙」は原作は「・・・魚の目は泪」が正しく、やはり訂正します。涙と泪は調べてみると発音、意味ともに同じなのですが、文字の成り立ちが違い、涙は「サンズイ」と「戻」からつくられた形声文字で「泪」は目から流れる「水」を意味する会意文字だそうです。強いて違いを探れば「泪」の方がより感情を表わす時に使われる事が多いそうで、歌の歌詞などに使われることが多いといいます。日本語というのは奥深いですねえ・・・

『行く春や鳥啼き魚の目は涙』　　　　　芭蕉

　GWたけなわ・・皆さんいかがお過ごしでしょうか？
１６８９年３月２７日（新暦５月１６日）、松尾芭蕉は千住大橋から日光街道で東北地方目指して、「奥の細道」への旅をスタートしました。多勢の友人、知人が千住大橋に見送りに来てくれた折り、奥の細道第一句目に詠んだのが上記の句だと云われています・・・
　江戸時代、江戸から東北地方への旅は深川から隅田川を遡り、千住で船を下りて、日光街道へ踏み出すルートが一般的だったようです。当時芭蕉の歳で三千里といわれた長旅への決意は現在とは異なり、二度と戻れないかもしれないという決死の覚悟が要ったのでしょうねえ。晩春の深夜のひと時、遠き芭蕉の時代に思いを馳せてみるのも悪くありません・・・

　潤子さんこんばんは。この前うちのダリアの芽が出てたのでとっても嬉しかったです。外に置いていたのに無事に冬を越したようです。大切にして花をさかせないと。僕は子供のころ植物の百貨辞典を良く見てました。朝日新聞社から出てる「花おりおり」という本がお勧めです。写真はもちろん文章もとてもいいので。

『ホッと一安心・・』

　２５日から今日まで潤子さんのコメントが暫く途絶えていたので、お出かけかな、それともご多忙だったせいでもしや体調でもくずされたのかななどと気になっていましたがどうやらお元気の様子、安心しました・・・
それにしても、ほんとに植物がお好きなのですねえ。元来不精な小生など、草花を鉢植えするなど小学生の時オジギソウが不思議でたまらず、近所のお寺にあったのから一枝もらい挿し木にしたことがあったのですが、すぐに枯らしてしまって以来絶えて久しいような有様です。トホホ・・・
